December Wrap up - Book Haul & What to Expect Next Month

Welcome, welcome my dear readers.
Welcome to the blog.

Sadly, my favorite month of the year is ALREADY over. I can't believe how time is flying when you're having fun.
The last few weeks have been amazing with loads of friends and loved ones. With loads of yummy food and sweet presents.
I celebrated my boyfriends 26th birthday and tonight I will celebrate an amazing year with a nice glass of champagne.

2019 has been great. Work wise I started working a day less and I switched grades, which was the best decision ever.
I played handball and did some running here and there.
I did LOADS of fun things, I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am to be able to do all this.

I made some amazing trips all over the world to Kenya, Mallorca and had a nice road trip through Eastern Europe.

I can't wait for 2020 to bring me more amazing moments with friends and loved ones. To have great days of working with the kids in my classroom and to just celebrate life!

I hope 2020 brings you all you wish and I do hope to see you back on the blog.
🎆🎆🎆

Goodreads: Your Year In Books Meme 2019

Hi there and welcome to the blog!
I'm so excited to do the Your Year in Books Meme. This is a meme that I created two years ago. It is a way to write a blogpost about the Goodreads Your Year in Books and to share it with others.

I was hoping that bloggers would participate, and that worked out pretty well last year! I hope I can get it even bigger this year.
This is actually a yearly meme where you write your final 2019 wrap up. Instead of the usual monthly or weekly memes.

I'd love for people to participate so please share your link at the end of this post!
You're free to write the blogpost in any way you like just to wrap up 2019.

November Wrap up - Book Haul & What to Expect Next Month

Welcome, welcome my dear readers.
Welcome to the blog!

This month was a busy one for me, with two weeks of teacher/parent conversations. These take up to 30 minutes per student and are held after 3 PM. I have 25 kids in my classroom, so I had two very busy weeks and I was home late, almost every day.
This week I was back to my normal schedule and had a lot of fun stuff to do, like dining with co-workers and dining with my sister.

Because I was busy, busy I didn't read and write blog posts as much as I usually do. I was able to finish some books and with that I've completed my Goodreads Reading Challenge of this year with 75 books! There are still two books waiting to be reviewed, so I'm actually at 77 books, but November is over... Oh well.

I'm very excited for December. I'm going to buy my Christmas tree next weekend and I'm just so happy to be celebrating Christmas, my favorite holiday of the whole year!

I do hope you'll have a very merry December with loads of loved ones and good books.
I look forward to see a lot of participants in my Your Year In Books Meme and I can't wait to see all your yearly wrap-ups!

See you later on the blog! 🎄🎅

Blog Tour / Review: Things That Art

Author: Lochlann Jain
Pages: 128
Genres: Graphic Novel, Art
Published: October 3rd 2019
Source: Physical copy from publisher

Lochlann Jain's debut non-fiction graphic novel, Things That Art, playfully interrogates the order of things. Toying with the relationship between words and images, Jain's whimsical compositions may seem straightforward. Upon closer inspection, however, the drawings reveal profound and startling paradoxes at the heart of how we make sense of the world.

Review: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Author: Ken Kesey
Started reading: October 13th 2019
Finished the book: November 3rd 2019

Synopsis
Tyrannical Nurse Ratched rules her ward in an Oregon State mental hospital with a strict and unbending routine, unopposed by her patients, who remain cowed by mind-numbing medication and the threat of electric shock therapy.
But her regime is disrupted by the arrival of McMurphy – the swaggering, fun-loving trickster with a devilish grin who resolves to oppose her rules on behalf of his fellow inmates. His struggle is seen through the eyes of Chief Bromden, a seemingly mute half-Indian patient who understands McMurphy's heroic attempt to do battle with the powers that keep them imprisoned.
Ken Kesey's extraordinary first novel is an exuberant, ribald and devastatingly honest portrayal of the boundaries between sanity and madness.

October Wrap up - Book Haul & What to Expect Next Month

Welcome, welcome my dear readers.
Welcome to the blog!

October is over and I've loved his month SO MUCH.
I lit the first candles and had my first Autumn walk. The nature is beautiful and the temperatures are low. I just love the cold when going outside. I had a week vacation and that was nice too. I was able to meet a lot of friends and do loads of fun stuff like going to the cinema and have dinner and lunch dates.
This also gives me that Christmas feeling, which is less than two months away!

This was a good month on the blog. I did two Sunday Posts, a Short Story post and another Get To Know Me Tag! I've read a lot of books and wrote a good amount of reviews.
I also made a new banner with a little hedgehog next to my own logo, to stay in the Autumn theme. I'm so happy with it! I hope y'all like it too.

I do hope everything is well with you.
I wish you a great November, with maybe some Christmas shopping?

And see you later on the blog! 🍂

September Wrap up - Book Haul & What to Expect Next Month

Welcome, welcome my dear readers.
Welcome to the blog!

September is almost over and this year is just FLYING by.
This month was my birthday, but I didn't ask for any books, because my shelves are seriously full. So I asked for gift cards and fun things to do instead! I also had a fun day of baking all the nice goodies for my birthday. It's been ages since I had a day full of baking. I made an apple pie, cheesecake and vanilla cake, yum!

I did read a lot of books and I'm sure I'm going to reach my Goodreads Challenge goal of 75 books.

I love that it's almost October. I just love fall. I love the colours and the weather, the rain and the storm. It's just so cozy outside and I can light some candles and curl up with a book.

I'm an all-season lover. I always love when a new season is just beginning.
What's your favorite season?

Have a great October. I wish you loads of cozy reading nights and fun Halloween celebrations. 🍁
