December Wrap up - Book Haul & What to Expect Next Month

Welcome, welcome my dear readers.
Welcome to the blog.

The year is over... The year is REALLY over. I still feel that days, weeks, months and years keep going faster as I'm getting older.
I've been very excited about Christmas and New Year's Eve, and now it's all here and after that it's all over. I always feel a bit sad about that! I will now have to wait for another year.

I haven't had my best year ever and I feel like I'm not healed and all the way back to myself either. So I'm good with the fact that I didn't reach my Goodreads Goal of 80 books. I brought it back to 55 and that's fine with me. My reading just hasn't been what it was after August. We'll see how it goes next year.

Right now people are already enthusiastically firing fireworks, I always love the sounds and that always gets me excited for the evening.

I hope you all had a great year and will have an even better year, next year.

Thanks for sticking with my blog and for reading!
Have a great January with loads of good books.

Goodreads: Your Year In Books Meme 2021

Hi there and welcome to the blog!
I'm so excited to do the Your Year in Books Meme. This is a meme that I created four years ago. It is a way to write a blogpost about the Goodreads Your Year in Books and to share it with others.

I was hoping that bloggers would participate, and that worked out okay in the last few years. I hope I can get it even bigger this year.
This is actually a yearly meme where you write your final 2021 wrap up. Instead of the usual monthly or weekly memes.

I'd love for people to participate so please share your link at the end of this post!

You're free to write the blogpost in any way you like just to wrap up 2021.

I usually take the time to update my Year in Books Meme Blogpost every two days, so I keep it up to date! That way, you can participate whenever you like.

When Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself.
Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he is thrust into a perilous new world of destiny, magic, and power. With only an ancient sword and the advice of an old storyteller for guidance, Eragon and the fledgling dragon must navigate the dangerous terrain and dark enemies of an Empire ruled by a king whose evil knows no bounds.
