Synopsis
Tai Niko had everything the average man lacked. Height, broad shoulders, a nipped in waist, square pecs, tree trunk thighs, and a look that rivaled “The Rock.” The part that made me drool and weakened my knees, was the thick, intricate tribal tattoos running down the entire left side of his muscled frame from shoulder to ankle. The design was unlike anything I’d ever seen, and I couldn’t wait to trace the tips of my fingers over every inch.

In the fifth book of the Calendar Girl serial, Mia is sent to Oahu, HI. Still on her mission to save her father, she embraces the model life to prove beauty really does come in all sizes.

My thoughts
Okay.. So I really don't like writing negative reviews, but since I want to be a reliable Bookblogger and not only post 4 and 5 rating reviews, the not-so-popular opinion needs to be out there too!
I've told myself numerous times that I would stop reading this series, but I'm curious about one character: Wes. And since the books only take 2 hours to finish, I'm going to keep reading. I am curious about the next book though!
I do try to find the positives, so here goes.

Pros
  • Conversations: The conversations between Mia and her best friend are witty and snappy and I love to read those. I'm not really the person to call my best friend a slut, bitch or whore, but the conversations did make me laugh since the girls are both very stubborn and sarcastic.
  • Wes: This storyline is getting my undivided attention! What is going on with Wes?! This makes me so curious and the fact that he re-appears in all the books is a very big pro for me. It keeps this storyline hot and makes you keep reading.. Well it works for me!
  • Maddy: Finally a girl that is not all about sex and orgasms, but about love and going to college! Maddy is a refreshing character in this book that I would love to hear more about.
Cons
  • Too much too good sex: Since this is an erotic book there is loads and loads and loads and loads of sex. I get it, you need to have great, hot and steamy sex scenes, but after the 45th orgasm it's not that believable anymore. Does anyone have a bucket for me?!
  • So sappy: Everything in these books is SAPPY. Everything is always great and happy and loving and there is never a person that Mia doesn't like. She is best friends with everyone in the world and they are all living in a big castle in the sky and riding unicorns.
  • Modeling?! I thought Mia was going on a job to be a model. I've maybe read two pages that are about the modeling... This could've and should've been a bigger part in this book.
Overall
Sorry for being bitter and writing maybe a bit of a negative review, but I promised myself I would review all the books I've read, so there you are. I keep asking myself, and you are probably wondering as well: WHY DO YOU READ THESE BOOKS!? Well.. One reason: Wes.
I'm too curious and I really want to know where that storyline is going. So I read these books with all the sappyness (it's not a word), too much good sex and way too good looking guys. Yep.
