I moved!

Hi there!
First of all; thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this.

So... I've promised you a couple of times now, to write a post about my new house.
I haven't been reading that much, sorry again to all the authors that are waiting for reviews. I'm doing my best! Long story short; I haven't been reading that much, because I moved 3 weeks ago! The move actually went pretty fast, I slept there after 2 days and moved in after 5. I still have some small things to do, but it's mainly finished now!

I lived in Dronten, a small town in The Netherlands that's only 60 years old. It's actually build on a piece of land that's reclaimed from the sea. Sounds exciting, but it was kinda boring for me, because the nature is man-made and the streets are usually build up with houses that look all the same.
So I moved to Kampen, to one of the oldest towns/cities in the Netherlands! I bought a house that's a 107 years old, but completely renovated...

Read this post, to see the pictures!

In this post I'm only going to show you the living room and kitchen. I have no idea if people want to see/read this. If you want to see more, let me know, I'd be happy to write another post.

So this is where you come in. I'm actually standing in the hallway. You see the little light switch, that's one of the things that still needs fixing.

This is where I usually hang out and make myself comfortable to read a book. The window is pretty dirty, because the street needed new tiling and when there's a lot of wind, the dust and sand gets stuck to my window.
If you take a good look, you'll see some African influences. I have been to Africa twice now, to Zambia and Namibia and I hope to go to Kenya this February!

My small television in the corner. And I love the door to the hallway with the little windows in it!

My big pride! I collect books (duh) but I also collect Blond which is a collection of colorful cups, plates, and all kinds of dishes.
I actually bought 2 bookcases before and got all my books to fit in, but then I found another 3 boxes with books in it... So yeah. Now I have 3 and I love it! This is my big pride and I have been dreaming about bookcases for a couple of years now.

This is a little peek into my kitchen, it takes up the ground floor together with my living room, storage closet, scullery, toilet, backyard and shed.

This is one of the main reasons I fell in love with this house. I love the fireplace. Can totally see myself reading next to it. I'll have it cleaned soon and then I can use it! Yay!

My kitchen. It's not that big, but perfect for me since I just live by myself! I had this idea of having a dinner table with different colored chairs. It looks cool, I think!

This is the way my room looks from the kitchen. The big window is awesome, you're getting so much daylight that you don't really need lights or something. Just a little scented candle is enough!

Hooray for you if you've made it all the way to the end of this post! I'm a bit insecure about writing something like this... Something more personal. I've actually been doing a lot of Reviews and all bookish-posts, this is something very different and I have no idea if people like to read stuff like this. 😊

Please let me know what you think.
And thanks for reading!
