Synopsis
It is forged, a Science Fiction saga that gave birth to a legend, a tale about the life of a man with one project that will change mankind’s future forever.
Ten stories about his life, his sorrow, and his quest to gather the resources and the people needed to claim our place among the stars.

This is Wei’s story. This is the world of the Omnilogos.

My thoughts
I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway and I do believe that if you sign up for Giveaways, you should read and review the book at least. I really thought I was going to give the book 3 stars, but the final chapters convinced me to give it 4 stars. Not sure if I will continue the series, I do think this book would be better as a standalone.

Pros
  • Mysterious: I really like the mystery in this book. Wei is a very mysterious character and I loved the scenes that contained him. I think that he as a character is a big pro in this book. I also wasn't sure where this book would be going, and I kept wondering what would happen next. There are a lot of mysterious things going on in this book and I like it!
  • Different concept: The concept in this book is so different. It describes different people who are in contact with Wei in different times in their lives. You also follow Wei growing up and I like the fact that the book contains some sort of life story about an interesting person. It's very different from anything I've read before.
  • Final chapters: The final chapters are great. I loved the big plot twist and I knew right away that I was going to give the book 4 stars. I do believe it would be a stronger book if it was just a standalone. The big plot twist makes me lose interest for the next book and makes me give this book a star extra. Can't say anything else, I won't spoil!!

Cons
  • Not emotionally involved: This book doesn't make you love certain characters. There wasn't enough emotion or personal relationships going on. You can't really start to love characters because the book feels like it has a lot of short stories, that all come together in the end. As soon as you find an interesting character, you hop on to the next.
Overall
A nice Sci-Fi book that is easy and quick to read with a very different way of telling the story than other books. You experience Wei growing up in this book and you skip ahead by years after every chapter. You meet a lot of different characters and you are in for a big bang in one of the last chapters!

Thanks for reading!
