The Sunshine Blogger Award

Thanks to Erica from Erica Robyn Reads for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award. It's been a long time since I took part in an award. For more posts like this, check out the Awards and Prizes Page!

The Rules:
  • Thank the person who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
  • Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
  • Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
  • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.
The questions that I was asked:

What blog post from 2018 so far do you wish had gotten more love?
I just recently wrote some sort of article about maintaining fun in blogging while having a busy life and I would've loved some feedback or more comments/readers for the blogpost.

How did you come up with your blog name?
It just sort of popped in my head and I did some research to find out if the blogname already existed and it didn't so I claimed it very fast!

What is your favorite type of blog post to read?
I love to read reviews for books that I've already read or books that I plan to read soon.

What are your favorite genres?
Fantasy, I just love diving into new worlds and strange species.

What item do you use for a bookmark most frequently?
Just a bookmark, but I have all sorts of bookmarks, some are made of fabric, some are even from Hong Kong that a friend of mine bought for me. I have a giraffe that my boyfriend made from a page out of a magazine. I choose a different bookmark for every book I read.

Where is your favorite reading spot?
I love to read on my couch near the window when the sun is shining.

What are your biggest turn-offs about a book?
Drama is a big turnoff, but also grammar mistakes and a lot of repetitions are my biggest turnoff.

What was the last five star book you read?
King's Cage. What a ride was that! A great book, I just ordered War Storm.

What was the last book you DNFed?
I can see on my blog that the last book I DNF-ed was Gladstones.

Are you a member of any bookish clubs/groups?
Yes! I'm a member of a Dutch bookclub on Goodreads, it's named Books Ever After. We do Buddyreads and sometimes make Secret Bookboxes for each other. It's a lot of fun.

What are some really inspiring books that you have read?
The first book that comes to mind is A Monster Calls from Patrick Ness. It was so beautiful and poetic and heart breaking and loving at the same time...
