My thoughts
So much fun to have my hands on another Petra Landon book. This is the fourth one I've read and I haven't given her a rating lower than 4 stars. The books are so much fun and especially the worldbuilding is so good. It even includes a lot of made up words and little bits of a totally different language. This is the second book in this series and the first one was great to read as well. I will be hosting a Giveaway for a signed paperback soon!

Pros
  • Glossary: I remember finishing a book before this one and thinking that I would love to have a little summary of the first book when reading a second book. I tend to forget some of the most important things and it takes away the fun in reading a second book. When I started reading this book, it had a Glossary with all the necessary information. Some things from the first book are explained as well while reading. That made it enjoyable to read second book.
  • All made up: Petra amazes me every time. She comes up with worlds like I've never seen. It has the history, the different people and the made up languages. The worldbuilding is not only fantastic in this series, but also in her other series that's more Fantasy; Saga of the Chosen
  • Characters from previous book: It's a great choice to have the same world and some of the same characters from the first book, but to make a totally different story. People can easily just read the second book as a stand alone and even read the series in a different order if they want to.
  • Has it all: Petras books have it all; depth, romance, background, action. It's just a great complete package if you have one of her books in your hands.
  • Petras males: In this fourth book I met another male out of Petras imagination. I have to tell you, the Alpha from the Saga of the Chosen is still my favorite, but I could easily call all those guys my bookcrush. I don't know how she does it, but the males in Petras books will just make you SWOON. *sigh*
Cons
*insert crickets*

Overall
One of the fun things when you're a blogger is to meet new people. Other bloggers, different authors... I can easily say that I've got this great collaboration thing going on with Petra Landon. It all started with her first book, I was hooked and after that we hit it off by emailing at least once a week. I just love her books, love her as an author, but Petra Landon is also a very sweet person. I do hope we can do this together for a very long time; her writing books and me fangirling over them.

Thanks for reading!
I'd love to talk books; please let me know what you think about this review.
