Synopsis
Three years ago, Alison disappeared after a slumber party, not to be seen since. Her friends at the elite Pennsylvania school mourned her, but they also breathed secret sighs of relief. Each of them guarded a secret that only Alison had known. Now they have other dirty little secrets, secrets that could sink them in their gossip-hungry world. When each of them begins receiving anonymous emails and text messages, panic sets in. Are they being betrayed by some one in their circle? Worse yet: Is Alison back?

My thoughts
First of all, I want to thank Books2Door for providing me with the PLL books! I wasn't sure if I would like the book, but a friend of mine mentioned that the TV-show is awesome, so I was almost sure that the book was good. Books are always better than the movies or series, lol. I really liked this book, I liked the mystery and I love how you didn't get all the answers you want.

Pros
  • POVS: I loved the way you switch POVs. You get to know the characters a lot better. I'm not always a fan of switching POVs. Sometimes the characters aren't written strong enough and then it's hard to keep them apart. That was not the case in this book. There are four female main characters and they're so different from each other. I had a blast skipping back and forth between them.
  • Questions: This book has the genre mystery, and a lot of mystery is going on, even after you finish the book. I'm sure that if you'll love the first one, you're going to read the second one, because you NEED answers. I'm still waiting for three big questions to be answered.
  • Easy to read: The book is easy to get through. There are short chapters and everything is written quick paced. You get only the necessary information and it makes you rush through. I've read the book in one day!
  • Characters: Like I said before in this review; the characters are so different from each other. But next to that they also feel REAL. The main characters are real characters with insecurities and weaknesses. It felt like I could walk into them on the street at any moment. I liked how not everything in their life was just going great. It kept me on edge as to what was going to happen next and how the book would end.
Cons
None.

Overall
An enjoyable book with believable main characters. The story has a lot of mystery going on and if you can handle it that not all your questions are answered you can read this book. I recently finished a series so I gave myself the green light to start a new series. This is going to be the one!

Memorable quotes from this book
"Only two can keep a secret if one of them is dead."

Thanks for reading!
I'd love to talk books; please let me know what you think about this book/review
