I hope you'll find some nice books to read next year. Have fun reading this list and have a great 2021!

#1: Verity by Colleen Hoover. Such a great thriller. I literally couldn't wait to read again. Reminded me of Gone Girl. Definitely a page-turner that I would recommend to thriller fans.
#2: Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas. A fantasy rollercoaster ride of a book. SJM keeps surprising me with her books. When I pick up a book I can guarantee you, it's going to be a 4 or 5 rating for me.
#3: Heartless by Marissa Meyer. This book is such a powerful retelling. The worldbuilding is strong and the characters never lack depth. A clever, passionate and heartbreaking story.

#4: Golden Son by Pierce Brown. The second book in this series totally hit home for me. I wasn't the biggest fan of the first book, although I still gave it 4 stars. This book has an amazing cast of characters and awesome plot twists.
#5: Echoes Between Us by Katie McGarry. This is one of those unique YA/Contemporary books that sucks you in and won't let you go. It's a MUST read if you're looking for a book that feels real.
#6: To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han. This was a re-read for me and it went from 3 stars to 5 stars. I loved the writing style, light feel of the book, the humor and the telling voice of Lara Jean.

#7: Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. This was a mix between a Contemporary book and a Mystery. I loved the writing style, humor, mystery and the characters. The story felt really unique. I enjoyed the book so much because of  the combination of genres and because I was able to rush through.
#8: Down to the Woods by M.J. Arlidge. I'm a huge fan of this series. I'm sure every thriller-lover will just rush through. The set of characters in these books is great to follow and the books always have exciting endings.
#9: Still Waters by Viveca Sten. In this book I loved the setting, it takes place in Sweden. The characters were well written and the plot was very good too. I could get addicted to this crime/mystery series that takes place in Sweden.

#10: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. This book is an historical novel that takes place curing WWII. It was beautifully written with loads of plot twists. The story felt so real and the horrible and beautiful things that happen in this book provide you with a necessary contrast.
#11: All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. This was a beautiful story that also takes place during WWII. It felt like no other book, because it had a layer of magic for me. It even felt poetic at times.
#12: Pretty Little Liars: Perfect by Sara Shepard. This series is so much fun. I'm rushing through and I always feel a bit sad when it's over. Every book in this series has amazing plot twists and situations that make you squirm in your seat.

#13: Legend of the Stone Keepers: The Eternal Winter by J.L. Trepanier. I've read this book as an audiobook and I love how the author reads this book. The voices are so amazing; the telling voice is great and has a different layer for every other character. I'm disappointed not many people have read or listened to this book. Pick it up!
#14: The Wrongful Death by Kenneth B. Andersen. I'm always excited to read a book in this series. The main character is aging and the story is getting darker; it reminds me of Harry Potter in a way. The series keeps me curious and is able to surprise me with every new book.
#15: The Otto Digmore Decision by Brent Hartinger. I was so happy that this second book in the series got published. I really loved the first book. It's a LGBTQ+ book about Otto Digmore, who I LOVE. He's one of my favorite main characters of all time. Such a nice guy.

#16: The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden. In this series I felt like quitting after the first book, but others convinced me to keep reading. This second book was a hit for me. I binged the final 150 pages in just one morning. It's such a beautiful, magical fairy tale.
#17: Between Us by Mari Suggs. This book is special to me, because I was a BETA reader, but even in draft it was already so good. The characters are amazing and the story felt so real. Mari Suggs took the time to really write a good quality book.
#18: Pretty Little Liars: Flawless by Sara Shepard. Another well written and fast paced book in the PLL series. It feels effortless to read these books and I just love the amount of secrets and mystery.

#19: The Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden. With this book Vasya ended up on my awesome, female, badass main characters-list. This series is magical and different, like a fairytale. I just loved Vasya and her personal journey is one of the best character developments in books I've seen.
#20: Red Rising by Pierce Brown. I needed a lot of time to get into this book and it was all over the place for me. I was sure I was going to give it 2 stars, but then the final 30% of the book happend and that made it more fun and made me curious about the next book. I also loved Darrow a lot, one of my favorite main characters of this year.

Thank you for reading!
