Synopsis
Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter. She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?

In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I've Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.

My thoughts
I've read the first book in this series for the first time in 2016. I remember giving it 3 stars and after that I've never picked up the second book. I decided that I wanted to read this trilogy, so I re-read the first book last November. I was HOOKED. I went from 3 stars to 5 and couldn't wait to read the second book. As you can see, it was another hit for me and I was able to read it within 3 days. Hope to read the third and last book very soon.

Pros
  • Rushing through: It was so easy for me to rush through this book. The writing style is so easy to read. It's absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure fans can easily find Jenny Han's telling voice from a huge stack of books. It's one of those books where it just feels effortless to read it, like you're literally drinking the letters and the words.
  • Characters: Lara Jean is such an honest sweetheart. I didn't trust Peter in the first book and I didn't like him keeping secrets. I'm not all that sure how I feel about him. I love the new characters that enter this story. Kitty is the BEST. She is so witty and enthusiastic. She's a bit of a know-it-all, but it makes her all the more loveable. I also loved how Margot and Lara Jean were together in this book. Good vibes!
  • Sit tight: I could feel this story racing towards big problems. All you can do is sit down and strap in for a WILD ride. There is also a bit of mystery in this story as of what is going on with Genevieve. That was also quite nice.

Cons
Neh!

Overall
Really a fun, lighthearted trilogy where you can just sit back and enjoy rushing through this story. The writing style is top notch and the characters are so believably written. Lara Jean is definitely one of my favorites. She's so sweet, honest and innocent. Definitely worth the read, and if you're as excited as me, it'll only take you 3 days!

Memorable quotes from this book
"People come in and out of your life. For a time they are your world; they are everything. And then one day they're not. There's no telling how long you will have them near."
