Booktag: Unhaul #4

It's been 6 months since I did an unhaul. Since I keep adding books to my TBR, but never remove any, I decided to do another unhaul.
My TBR is so big, that it sometimes scares me. I decided to visit my own Goodreads shelves and to TRY and unhaul 10 books.

Please feel free to participate and unhaul some of your books. I'd love to know what books you decided to unhaul!

Nightfall by Jake Halpern and Peter Kujawinksi
This book doesn't get the highest ratings on Goodreads, but the synopsis really triggers something in me. I'd love to explore a world where the sun only comes every 28 years. 3 of my friends gave this book good ratings.

Tell the Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennan
The synopsys from this book doesn't really speak to me, it sounds mysterious, but that's all. When I scrolled down and looked at my friends' ratings, they were pretty divided. Sadly, the top reviews aren't that positive eiter...

A Whole New World by Liz Braswell
I'm not the biggest Aladdin fan, and this is an Aladdin retelling. The synopsis is too short to win me over and my friends' 2-star reviews don't convince me either.
Keep or Go?
Go!

Oligarchy by Scarlett Thomas
I've recently read a review by Judy from Keep The Wisdom. It made me so curious about this book. I did a little more research on Goodreads and I see a lot of positive reviews over there as well.
Keep or Go?

Hello, Sunshine by Laura Dave
I just get all the good vibes from this cover, synopsis and the reviews for this book. It's not too long either, so if I'm not the biggest fan it will be a short read.

The Vlogger Diaries by T. Collins
This book does make me curious, but the blurb is just a bit too young in my opinion, about the sleeping cat and all. I'm also not really into the influencer, vlogger world.
Keep or Go?
Go!

Toward a Secret Sky Heather Maclean
Oh lord, this book gives me Twilight vibes and that was not a good ride for me. I'm also not buying into the "my parents were super spies and they now want to recruit me too".
Keep or Go?
Go!

The Goblins of Bellwater by Molly Ringle
This synopsis makes me so curious about the book. I've not seen anything about goblins in a long time. It sounds like an awesome fantasy/romance book. It reminds me a bit of Wintersong, that book has a special place in my heart, because I was granted the book through Netgalley and it stole my heart.

Keep!

This book definitely sounds like a cute rom-com, but I'm really scared that I'll compare it to The Otto Digmore Difference and that it's not as good as that book... I know, don't compare books and don't judge beforehand, but my friends' reviews don't convince me either.
Keep or Go?

This sounds so unique and adventurous. It does get a lot of 3-star ratings, which isn't too bad. It just really leaves me curious.

I was able to let go 5 out of 10 books.
That leaves 758 books on my TBR.
Please let me know what you think of this unhaul.
Did I make some mistakes or do you agree?

  1. I would have kept This is Kind of an Epic Love Story. It’s actually a super cute story, and I love how Callender writes. But I do respect your decision :)
