Offline for 10 days - My trip to Iceland

 Dear blog followers.

The visitors who read my blogposts frequently know that I'm heading off to Iceland!

I'm going on a trip that was originally planned in 2020 with my mom, sister, niece and aunt. 5 ladies traveling together!

I'm so excited. I'm going to pack my bags tonight, and will be flying tomorrow morning.

I've selected my books and can't wait to be offline for a bit!

Since loads of you were enthusiastic about my trip, I will write a blogpost with loads of pictures about my trip when I'm back home.

I'm Gone! (for 2 weeks)

I'm so glad that I'm able to go on a nice camping trip with my BF, I know not everybody is that fortunate yet with the current health situation.

It's been raining in The Netherlands for over a week, so we put our tent in the car and are going to drive towards the sun. We've checked different countries on the situation with COVID-19 so we know what countries we can visit.

Our plan is to drive towards Czech Republic and we'll be gone for two weeks.

My Trip To Kenya

A lot of followers were very curious what I've been doing in Kenya and I'd love to tell you all about it, in this blogpost!

I was there for 10 days with a project called Teachers4Teachers. With around 40 Dutch teachers, we travel to Kenya. It's all about meeting and connecting with Kenyan teachers and to inspire them by giving workshops. The workshops are about varied teaching methods and active learning.

Dear followers, those of you who have been following me a year or longer, might remember that I went to Kenya last year.

I wrote two blogposts about it, here and here.

I'm so happy to announce that I was chosen to go with this great project called Teachers4Teachers, AGAIN this year!

(Part Dutch, Part English)

That means I'll be leaving tomorrow and I'll be back on February the 25th. 

You will not hear anything from me until then, but I do hope to check back on all of you when I'm home again.

Summerbreak: China

Welcome, welcome.

Through this blogpost I wanted to let you guys know that I'm traveling to China for a whole month this summer! I'll be leaving tonight and will be back on August 22nd.

As you can guess: I will be away from my email and away from my blog.

I moved!

Hi there!

First of all; thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this.

So... I've promised you a couple of times now, to write a post about my new house.

I haven't been reading that much, sorry again to all the authors that are waiting for reviews. I'm doing my best! Long story short; I haven't been reading that much, because I moved 3 weeks ago! The move actually went pretty fast, I slept there after 2 days and moved in after 5. I still have some small things to do, but it's mainly finished now!

I lived in Dronten, a small town in The Netherlands that's only 60 years old. It's actually build on a piece of land that's reclaimed from the sea. Sounds exciting, but it was kinda boring for me, because the nature is man-made and the streets are usually build up with houses that look all the same.

So I moved to Kampen, to one of the oldest towns/cities in the Netherlands! I bought a house that's a 107 years old, but completely renovated...

Summervacation!

Hi there!

As a teacher, my summer vacation is the period of 100% relaxing.

Everything in my classroom is cleaned out. No reports need to be made, no test scores that need to be analyzed, no need to write lesson plans.

I can just do NOTHING for a while.

I'm leaving for Germany/Switzerland/Italy/Austria. I'm just going to drive around with a tent in the car! I love it.

This means that I'll be offline until August 8th (don't pin me on that date, it's possible that I'm away longer!) and won't be responding to comments or emails and I won't visit other blogs.
