Get To Know Me Tag #4

A while ago I decided to do a Get To Know Me Tag every two months.
I'd like for my readers to know the person behind the blog, so in this blogpost I'll be answering some questions and you'll be able to get to know me a little better!

Thanks for reading and have a nice day! 🖤

  • What is your favorite family holiday?
My absolute favorite is Christmas. I'm already excited for Christmas in November and I start listening to Christmas songs by then. I always decorate my classroom into a very cozy Christmas setting and my Christmas tree will be standing proudly in the living room until the end of January.

  • How many languages do you speak?
In The Netherlands everybody gets the subjects English, German and French in high school. I dropped French after two years, so I can understand a little bit of French. I understand German a lot better, but I don't consider myself a person that speaks German. So I'd say two languages: Dutch and English.
  • What was your first job?
My very first job was delivering the newspaper. I was around 14 years old. I did babysit the neighbours kids when I was 12, but I don't really consider that a job. In the summer I used to work on a farm and when I turned 17 I started working in a supermarket. That was a part time job that I had while studying. I worked at the supermarket for 8 years!
  • What celebrity would you like to meet at Starbucks for a cup of coffee?
I'd LOVE to have a nice cup of coffee with Sam Smith. I love his humour and I think he's totally himself and I do believe I could have the best conversations with him. The best episode of Carpool Karaoke is the one with Sam Smith for me. I just love him as a person and his music as well.

  • If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
"Warning: Foulmouthed and highly sarcastic chatterer approaching."
  • What do you do to keep fit?
I play handball once a week and I run with a friend of mine twice a week. So I actually work out three days a week. Especially now the handball season is over, I tend to run a bit more. The weather is nicer as well. I also like to participate in running competitions, but not to win, just for fun!
  • What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten?
I've once won a trip to Namibia (yes, with a FACEBOOK-photo contest). I ate a lot of unusual animals over there like zebras and springbok, but the most unusual and also disgusting thing was crocodile.

  • What's the tallest building you've been to the top in?
I went to Chicago for an internship and lived there for 3 months. I went to Sears Tower (Now Willis Tower) and that is the tallest building I've ever been to. I went there around 4 P.M and watched the sunset. It was lovely!

And the book I'm about to pick up...

Three years ago, Rikki Albemarle watched her best friend die at the hands of a supernatural evil. Certain she was slated to be the next victim, Rikki fled her small Smoky Mountain hometown, vowing to never come back. Plagued by nightmares and knowing she's the only one who believes Mina's death was no accident, Rikki returns with hopes of finding answers and holding the killer accountable.

Rikki is convinced the key to unlocking the secret of Mina's death lies with Owen Amir, the alluring young army vet who once claimed her heart. But the deeper Rikki digs into Owen's past, the more she's torn between the urgings of her heart and her memories of him on the night Mina died.
After falling further into the rabbit hole, Rikki lands at the feet of an ancient and powerful evil determined to finish what it started years before. To survive, she'll have to make a decision: believe Owen is the monster she always feared he might be or trust him enough to stay and fight for a second chance at love.

Do you have a question for me to answer in the next Get To Know Me Tag?
