Synopsis
"There will be three tasks, spaced throughout the school year, and they will test the champions in many different ways... their magical prowess - their daring - their powers of deduction - and, of course, their ability to cope with danger."
The Triwizard Tournament is to be held at Hogwarts. Only wizards who are over seventeen are allowed to enter - but that doesn't stop Harry dreaming that he will win the competition. Then at Hallowe'en, when the Goblet of Fire makes its selection, Harry is amazed to find his name is one of those that the magical cup picks out. He will face death-defying tasks, dragons and Dark wizards, but with the help of his best friends, Ron and Hermione, he might just make it through - alive!

My thoughts
YAY! Another Harry Potter review. I LOOOVVEE these books. The movies are actually pretty good, but the books are even better (as usual). So many funny moments, little remarks and extra storylines that the moviemakers are not capable of putting in the movies. Also; If they'd tried, the movies would probably be 5 hours long.
I read the last part of the book together with my boyfriend, it's so much fun to read together with someone and share my Harry Potter love.

Pros

  • Actual danger: So the previous books contained a younger Harry and in this book he's really growing up. Being in love and asking girls to a ball are totally happening in this book. The fact that Harry is growing up, also means that the book starts to contain actual danger and not only in the form of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. His followers are a pretty big part in this book as well, times are getting darker...
  • Ready for next book: The final chapter is called; The Beginning. This is enough information for me. SO READY FOR THE NEXT BOOK! Things are just getting started...
  • Great plot, again: It's something you're getting used to when reading a Harry Potter book. I already knew about the plot before reading it but I actually couldn't remember some parts of the plot because it was so genius. I remembered little parts, but the book creates even more layers to it, even if you have seen the movies!
  • More spells, creatures, teachers: More, more, more!! More spells, creatures and new teachers. Every book I'm more excited to get to know new teachers, learn new spells and learn more about different creatures, especially from Hagrid!
  • Shit gets real, dude: So yeah.. Pretty important characters actually DIE in this book. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named felt like a bit of a danger in previous books, but darker magic is totally happening now and it makes me STOKED for the next books. That's what I'm talking about; SHIT GETS REAL! (Pardon my French).

Cons
No mischief managed.

Overall
I still hope to persuade the people who haven't read Harry Potter to read the books! Just do it, just pick up the first and you'll be hooked! After this fourth book, things get real and you just want to know what is coming.
Even if you've watched the movies, the books add even more to fangirl over. More creatures, more characters, little extra storylines. You will not be disappointed!

Memorable quotes from this book
"Indifference and neglect often do much more damage than outright dislike."

"Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect."

"Accio Brain!"

Did you watch any movies, read any books? Plan to read them?!
